United KingdomOur Commercial Sales Team drive impact for social good. We work with a range of markets in the non-profit sector and our software is specifically designed to help social good organisations further their missions.
We’re looking for a Sales Manager to join our UK mid-market team in early 2022 to lead a group of Sales Executives responsible for managing enquiries through to the delivery of the solution. This role will focus maintaining sales productivity throughout 2022, ensuring the team engaged and free from blockers, coaching on career development and growth as well as formalising our UK Sales onboarding for new hires. In addition, the Inside Sales Manager should work closely with the Marketing Manager to identify target markets and strategies for reaching existing customers with our evolving suite of products.
We’re looking for an experienced people manager who is able to evidence productivity growth in their previous positions. You will be an empathetic and flexible sales leader who puts their team first, bringing experience from previous SaaS organisations you will influence process and improve efficiencies over time to ensure our team continue to deliver.
Responsibilities & Duties
Managing a team of Sales Executives
Achieving sales targets and other KPIs as agreed with your lead
Liaising on a regular (weekly) basis with the Director of Sales to review performance of the sales funnel at each stage
Ensuring Accounts are developed to their full potential and customers supported throughout their journey with Blackbaud
Accurately forecasting pipeline for the forthcoming months, quarters as well as providing forecasts for the forthcoming year
Agreeing territories (whether by sub vertical, size, event type) for the sales team and handling lead allocation within the team
Applying and integrating Blackbaud’s Sales Excellence Initiatives including implementation of the SPI sales process
Working closely with the sales team to coach and develop their resources and techniques, and building a team ethic of working together
Working closely with the New Business team to ensure that handover processes are managed effectively
Predicting issues that may jeopardise the smooth transition of a customer into your team’s territory
Managing the annual renewal process for customers’ recurring annual fees
Knowledge & Skills
Solid track-record in software sales
Confidence in presentation and negotiation and proven ability in closing opportunities
Strong IT capability, specifically around CRM tools, Microsoft Office, email marketing tools
Experience of pipeline management within a structured sales team; experience of a formal sales methodology
Empathy with both prospects and colleagues
Bonus:
Knowledge of the fundraising and Event market
Experience working with or in the non-profit sector
Experience with Blackbaud Products
