Business Analyst, Order to Cash - R0008364

About the role:

The Financial System Business Analyst performs analysis of financial business processes and applications; designs and recommends business process and system changes to facilitate improved and more efficient performance; and acts as change lead to present proposed changes and provides key metrics to support recommendation. This role will be focused on Order to Cash (OTC) and the integration between our sales order system (Salesforce) & our financial system (Workday).

What you'll be doing:

  • Identifies areas for improvement, either through system enhancements, reporting, revised workflow and/or user training

  • Gains acceptance of process efficiencies and obtains department management buy-in based on quality, cost savings and/or performance expectations

  • Develops and maintains detailed process maps and related metrics that cross systems and business functions

  • Prepares preliminary project documentation pertinent to the business objectives, summarizing the goals of the business process change and expected business benefit

  • Develops & prioritizes user stories to drive system requirements, aligning changes to enable business process change; engages application development team in discussions to ensure technical designs meet functional objectives

  • Participates in sprint planning, design reviews, sprint reviews and works with application team to drive system configuration, development & enhancements

  • Design and develop interfaces, system integrations, and impact analysis on data integrity across systems

  • Participates in implementing change and provides post-implementation support, training, and training materials

  • Monitors implementation to ensure acceptance/adherence and subsequent changes

  • Performs Data review / audits, identify specific performance improvement opportunities (system performance, functional performance, user performance, etc)

What we'll want you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or Finance, or equivalent professional experience required

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Business Analysis, Professional Services, or similar process improvement role required

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, CPQ (Salesforce), and ERP or Financial Management software (Workday). 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of billing, contracts, and renewals processes, and/or order to cash lifecycle preferred

  • Deep knowledge of how information systems support business functions

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of management and staff within the company is a key priority in this role

  • Self-starter, quick learner, and ability to work independently with little day to day guidance
